Prayer + Praise Vision
for Christ
Encouragement for breakthrough

White Ribbon Day:Was and Is

THANKS TO ALL WHO
ATTENDED AND TO THOSE
WHO PRAYED FOR THE
EVENT ACROSS THE
COUNTRY

White Ribbon Day was on
Wednesday 4th February 1998
At 8pm til 11:30pm

At:
Crewe Conference Centre
Manchester Metropolitan University
Crewe + Alsager Faculty
CREWE CAMPUS
Crewe
Cheshire

It all came about because a member of our
C.U had a 'Vision' of setting up a 'Prayer
and Praise' time, over the Christmas
holidays, for all the Christian Union's at
Universities across the UK involved in
breakthrough.

We understand that alot of the C.U's have
their breakthrough missions planned for
around about this time of the year.
Everyone needs prayer and encouragement for
their missions and it was a great
opportunity for all involved to get
together and support and encourage one
another through Jesus Christ.

We had a kicking worship band from a local
church, and they fired up a blazing set of
worship. (Anne's dad), a pastor nearby,
spoke amazing words of encouragement to all
of us. This was followed by prayer and news
and testimony from your C.U's on what the
Lord had been saying to them throughout the
days previous and on the White Ribbon Day.

So thanks to everyone who attended and
remebered us in their prayers all over the
country. God was definatley in the house,
and I tell you he was and is bursting to get
out through his Holy Spirit and touch people
on every campus at every University all over
this country.

Basically White Ribbon Day was a chance to:
* Celebrate *
* Have fellowship *
* Encourage *
* Worship *
* Pray *
Thank God for all he is doing and WILL do,
with 'breakthrough' and Missions going on
at Universities everywhere. And also a
time to pray for Peace in Northern Ireland.

The White Ribbon was inspired by the
Delerious song 'White Ribbon Day'.
The ribbons are the symbol of the
Peace In Northern Ireland Campaign
officially.
(which Blaze supports in it's entirity).

They also represent a symbol of God for
the missions, as a conversation starter for
non-Christian friends. Most of all they
are a symbol for God's Peace within
ourselves, something that is on offer to
everyone.

The White Ribbon Message will go on always
as the wonderful Truth of Jesus Christ will
never ever fade, but keep on blazing. Make
your own or email us for some for the C.U
at your university.  Wear them.

'Bring us your Mountain Lord'
